I opened this and read the enclosed paperwork. The manufacturer notes that this product has a distinct smell and should be set aside in a well ventilated area so it can off-gas for at least 24 hours before use. It also says that it is made of a urethane foam and that urethane foams are highly flammable. The pillow must be kept away from hot lights, cigarettes, etc. Frankly, I was afraid to use the thing. I don’t smoke but I have pets and and lamps. I returned the pillow before using

Ihave had this pillow for about a month now. I was skeptical, but, becoming really tired of waking up with a stiff/sore neck. So far so good, I have not had any problems with my neck. I am going to spend the money and get one for my husband now.

I was so excited when this pillow arrived. I spent an hour on the pillow to try it out and learned quickly, that I can not use it. When I positioned on my back, the extreme firmness of the pillow placed so much pressure on my neck that I could no longer remain supine. I turned to each side for about 10 minutes and found that I could not tolerate side positioning. The heaviness of the pillow over my arm began to cause numbness. In addition, the heat that developed under my head was too much.
I am sure this pillow works for so many people, but for me, it was not a match. I am going to give it to my son.

I guess they’re on the right track. My neck was not as sore this morning when I woke up and it is
cool to the touch but warms within seconds so still have to move around and turn pillow over. It was just not as cool as I wanted. When I was little I used to sleep with my cheek on the plastered wall and it stayed cool! Now that is the kind of cool I wanted. Also when my son was younger we bought a pillow completely filled with water which the two of us fought over until it sprung a leak — it stayed cool all the time. The only drawback to it (besides the leak) was that it was so heavy, I could scarcely pick it up to put a pillowcase on it and make the bed. Now that was comfort!
